TimerX Manual
-------------

Basics
------
To begin using TimerX, select Start/Stop at the top, and tap and empty timer slot. A new timer will start, and an empty slot will be created beneath it. Tapping the timer again will stop it. Selecting 'Rst' then tapping the timer will set it back to zero. Selecting 'Clr' then tapping the timer will delete it. Selecting 'Lap' then tapping the timer will record the current time on the timer, and pause to show you the recorded time, while the timer keeps going. Tap the timer again to continue. Selecting 'Splt' will do the same, except instead of it continuing, it will go back to zero and start timing again. Selecting 'View' and tapping a timer will take you to the view form, and Selecting 'Set' and tapping a timer will popup the set timer form.

View Form
---------
The view form displays the timer, its start and (if it is a countdown timer) finish time, and a list of recorded laps/splits. You may perform all of the timer functions using the buttons at the bottom, and you may also delete recorded laps. You can use the popup at the top to switch to a different timer, and you can press back to return to the main form.

Set Form
--------
The set form sets the properties for a timer. You may change the name and colors on this form. You may also put the timer in countdown or stopwatch mode. The 'Start At' fields specify the initial time on a countdown timer, or time to add to a regular timer on start. If you set a timer as a countdown timer, you will be given options for end behavior and alerting. When the stop box is checked, when a timer finishes, it will stop at zero. With reset also checked, it will reset, but it wont start. Check Start over as well to make it start again. With none checked, the timer will count up after it expires. The alert check box allows TimerX to alert you when a certain amount of time is left. There is also a button to set by end time. In the set by end time form, enter in the date, time and time zone (if you select a different time zone, you will need to specify whether that zone is on DST) and TimerX will calculate the end time in your zone, and set the countdown timer. The delay field sets a delay period to wait before timing begins when you press start. Finally, there is an option to assign the current timer to a link group.

Link Groups
-----------
Link groups allow you to perform an operation on multiple timers at once. TimerX allows you to have 32 different link groups. To set the links, select 'Set Links' from the menu. This form allows you to give each group a name, and set the type of link. The link types are as follows:
-Normal: when you perform an operation on a member of the link group,
the operation will be performed on all members.
-One Running: when you press Stop/Start on a member of the group, the
timer you select will begin running, and all other members will stop.
-One Stopped: when you press Stop/Start on a member of the group, the
timer you select will stop, and all other members will begin running.
-Link Start: when you press Stop/Start on a member of the group, if
that member is stopped, all stopped members will start running.
-Chain Link: For countdown timers. When one finishes, the next one in
the group will start. You may also make the chain start again from
the beginning when it reaches the end. In order to do this, each
countdown in the chain needs to have the stop and reset options
selected, and the last one needs to have the stop reset and start
     over options.
You may turn links on or off from the menu. There is now also an indicator above the scrollbar of whether links are on or off. Tapping this indicator will toggle the links.

Display Options and Prefs
-------------------------
TimerX allows you to change the viewing size from the menu. Also, in the preferences form, there is an option to give timers rounded corners. There are also options for when you are in medium and large viewing modes to list the first two or six laps. The 'Allow Auto Off' option, when unchecked, will not allow the unit to sleep after the auto off time.

Ordering and Duplication
------------------------
If you select Ordering from the 'Panel' menu, the row of function buttons will become ordering buttons. You may use these buttons to change the order of the timers in the list. You may also duplicate timers. To return the panel to the function buttons, select 'Timer Functions' from the panel menu.

Alarm Settings
--------------
In the menu of the main form you can access the 'Alarm Settings' form. Here you can change the preferences for alarms. The 'More Settings' button allows you to change the prefs for delay and warnings.

Categories
----------
To access different categories, open the menu, select view, and select category. This will open the category selector which will allow you to switch between categories to view, as well as edit the categories. You may also place the category selector on the main screen by opening the preferences dialog and checking 'Show Category Selector'. Timers may be assigned to categories using the Set form. Also, if you are currently viewing a specific category, any new timers created will be created into the current category.

Notes
-----
If you shut off or reset the device, the millisecond value of any running timer becomes inaccurate, and will be zero. If you are doing an exact measurement, do not shut off or reset the device.

NOTE: Do not install a previous version of TimerX after running TimerX 2.1. If you wish to downgrade back to a previous version, completely remove version 2.1 first.

Thank you for trying TimerX!
